ICON + Sony + Google
ICON Brands created a pop-up gallery in Bibliotekstan, an exclusive shopping district in Stockholm in conjunction with Sony and Google. For a period of a month, the gallery inspired visitors with analogue and digital perspectives and collected money for charity. Framed pictures (staff picks) from ICON Magazine, and a special edition of the newly released Sony Watch 3 were on sale in the gallery. Visitors were able to try out the renowned Google Glass, read about Google’s Swedish senior industrial designer Isabel Olsson, and could immerse themselves in ICON’s article archives via a specially built digital Sony Xperia installation. The interior design for the gallery was by vintage store Dusty Deco. The result was SEK 106,000 donated, which went directly to Doctors Without Borders.
